New York Fashion Week 2014.
Last night I attended Gemma Khang's presentation of her Fall 2014 collection at Rox Gallery. My friend has been acting as her right hand women helping put together this demanding fashion collection so she invited a group of us along to witness all the hard work. The details and shapes of the garments were stunning and a credit to both designer and design assistant. Inspirational shapes, intricate detailing, fur, leather and opacity were shown in a variety of different formations with attention drawing from everything including the lace tights and dark grecian hear wear.
Tell me a New Yorker who doesn't die over a strict color palette of Black and White…. exactly, so as you can imagine this collection went down a storm with the NY attendees. With fur, leather and length being a reoccurring theme on models AND viewers the collection showed a fashion forward, edgy and dramatic start to New York's Fall '14 collections.
